    Tokyo to Nagoya by shinkansen: times, fares and JR Pass tips

    Nagoya is the first major shinkansen stop west of Tokyo. The Tokaido line gets you there in well under two hours.

    Tips for the trip

    Sit on the right side heading west for Mount Fuji views around the 40 minute mark. Trains run every 5 to 10 minutes from 06:00 to 21:30.
