Hokkaido Shinkansen
High-speed connection from Honshu through the Seikan Tunnel. Currently terminates at Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto with extension to Sapporo planned for 2030.
Hakodate Main Line
Major line connecting Hakodate to Sapporo via Otaru along the coast. Scenic route with ocean and mountain views.
Chitose Line
Links Sapporo to New Chitose Airport with frequent rapid services. Also connects to Tomakomai and southern Hokkaido.
Sekihoku Main Line
