Plan Your Visit
Super Nintendo World is located within Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, and entry requires both a general admission ticket and a timed entry pass to the themed land. Timed passes are available through the official Universal Studios Japan app or at the park, so be sure to plan ahead to secure your spot. The timed entry ticket is free, but run out pretty fast so make sure to visit the park early.
The park is busiest during weekends and holidays, so visiting on a weekday or early in the morning can help you avoid long waits. Don’t forget to download the Universal Studios Japan app to track wait times, find show schedules, and make the most of your visit.
Inside the park
How to access Super Nintendo World
We recommend getting there very early. The park usually opens an hour before the official time on the website and there’s no required timed entry ticket to enter the Super Nintendo World area inside the park before it gets full. Meaning, if you’re one of the first few hundred people to enter the area, you’re free to just do so with a special queue ticket. We therefore recommend being at the park 1.5h before the official opening to get a good slot in the queue and head straight towards the area once the park opens.
If you arrive after the area has activated the Time Entry Slot system, you will have to register your Universal Studios Entry ticket in the USJ app, and put yourself in the digital queue to enter the Nintendo Area. However, at popular dates the digital waiting time can be hours and hours. We really recommend getting there early instead.
