Visit Japan Web is the official online service that speeds up immigration and customs at Japanese airports. It is free to use and very simple.

How to register
- Create a free account at vjw-lp.digital.go.jp.
- Add each traveller and their passport.
- Enter your flight and hotel address in Japan.
- Save the immigration and customs QR codes on your phone before landing.

At the airport
- Show the immigration QR code at the foreign passport counter.
- Show the customs QR code at the marked Visit Japan Web lanes.
- Then head to baggage claim and the train to central Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto.

Combine with your JR Pass
Activate your JR Pass at the airport JR ticket office after clearing customs. The Narita Express, Haruka Express and the bullet train into the city are all included.
