    Kyushu shinkansen guide: routes, trains and JR Pass tips

    The Kyushu shinkansen runs from Hakata down to Kagoshima Chuo, connecting Fukuoka with Kumamoto and southern Kyushu. The JR Pass covers Sakura and Tsubame, with a supplement for Mizuho.
