Who can buy a JR Pass
- Foreign tourists with a Temporary Visitor stamp.
- Japanese nationals permanently living abroad with proof of residency.
- Children: child pass for ages 6 to 11. Under 6 travel free with an adult.

- Original passport with Temporary Visitor stamp or sticker.
- Original exchange order voucher.
- Filled out application form (provided at the office).
