    How to add Suica to Apple Wallet

    Adding Suica to Apple Wallet takes a few minutes and lets you skip the queue at ticket machines. Here is exactly how to do it on iPhone.

    What you need

    • iPhone 8 or later, running iOS 16 or newer.
    • An Apple ID with region set to Japan or United States. Most non Japan regions also work now.
    • A credit card supported by Apple Pay.

    Step by step

    • Open Wallet on your iPhone.
    • Tap the plus icon, then Transit Card.
    • Pick Suica and the amount to load, minimum 500 yen.
    • Confirm with Face ID or Touch ID, then add to Apple Pay.
    • The Suica appears in Wallet, ready to tap at gates.

    Tips

    • Top up any time in Wallet, no station visit needed.
    • Hold the phone flat to the gate sensor, no need to wake the screen.
    • Use Express Mode to skip Face ID at gates.
