- Retrace your last train and ask the nearest station Lost and Found.
- File a tegata oishimasu lost item report with station staff.
- Most found items are logged within 24 hours in JR systems.

- Report to the nearest Koban police box and get a written report.
- Carry the report for any travel insurance claim.
- Buy single tickets until your replacement plan is set.
