Про Фушімі Інарі
Fushimi Inari-taisha is one of Kyoto's most iconic and visited landmarks. Famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates that wind up Mount Inari, this Shinto shrine is dedicated to Inari, the god of rice, prosperity, and business.
The shrine dates back to 711 AD and is the head shrine of over 30,000 Inari shrines across Japan. The iconic torii gates, known as "Senbon Torii" (thousands of torii), were donated by individuals and businesses as offerings to the deity.
The trail behind the main shrine winds through the entire mountain, passing smaller shrines, stone fox statues, and peaceful forest areas. While the full hike takes 2-3 hours, you can turn back at any point.
