14 day pass to cover Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima?

I want to check that if i buy the 14 day pass it is the most cost effective way to get us to those 3 places and around the main tourist activities, plus ideally to see Mt Fuji. Can you please confirm. Also is it 14 consecutive days or travel on 14 days, as we will be in Japan for 15 days. Thank you.

Hi Sarah 🇯🇵

By going between Kyoto, Tokyo and Hiroahima, a Japan Rail Pass will be well worth it. There are however no optimal JR stations to see Mt Fuji in Hakone, whomich will require you to use non-JR lines to visit Mt Fuji. We used a busses for 10-15 usd per person, was well worth it.

And as mentioned, the pass is for 14 days in a row, with activation day starting as day 1, regardless of when you activate it during the day.

As a bonus with the JR pass, you’ree basicly free. When in Kyoto you’re able to go to Nara park in nara with the bowing 1,200 free walking deers, go to Osaka, Kobe or the large white castle of Himeji  or when in Tokyo visit Yokohama, use the loop line and much more.

Have a wonderful trip to Japan 😁

With kind regards, Jonathan H.
