Refund policy

You can cancel your Japan Rail Pass as long as it has not been activated. If your Japan Rail Pass has been activated, we have no opportunity to help with any refund, unfortunately. In case of cancellation or repurchase of your JR Pass, a return fee of 15% of the total JR Passes value will be taken from your refund. Which means that you get back 85% of the original amount from your purchase, minus shipping fee and transaction fees.

If you wish to cancel your JR Pass, please email us at info@getjrpass.com together with a detailed explanation of why the pass should be returned.

A non-exchanged JR Pass can be returned within 12 months of being sent out from Getjrpass.com, as long as it has not been activated in Japan. The buyer is responsible for the Japan Rail Pass and that they return to Getjrpass physically and in the same condition as it was sent out. The buyer is also responsible for any costs that a return may entail, including shipping costs.
