Can I give my Japan Rail pass to my sister?

Hi I have bought a 14 day Japan Rail Pass but will only be needing it for 9 days. Can I give it to my sister so that she can use it the rest of the days ?

Hi Chelsea, your JR Pass is personal and can not be transfered or given to any other passenger I’m affraid. Each JR Pass is listed with the passengers name and must match the users passport if the staff request to see your passport to confirm that you are the original holder of the Japan Rail Pass.
