Japan Rail Pass

§ 1. Currency
The price of the Japan Rail Pass is presented in EUR and JPY. The purchase is carried out and paid for in Euro, EUR. Your card or preferred payment method is charged directly upon purchase. The product does not include any VAT.

§ 2. Shipping
All Japan Rail Passes are sent out physically by Flygi AB, owner of Getjrpass. JR Group requires you to carry the original voucher issued by Getjrpass when exchange in Japan and does not accept photos or copies of your JR Pass voucher (MCO). The freight is handled by UPS, and Getjrpass is not responsible for any delays affected by UPS or other transport-related problems that may arise with your order after we have released the shipment. The same applies to shipments with EMS and other delivery alternatives.

All Japan Rail Passes are sent within 1-3 working days of purchase. Estimated delivery time of your Japan Rail Pass is 2-5 working days within Europe and 1-2 weeks outside of Europe, calculated from the date Getjrpass.com hands over the order to UPS or another shipping company.

§ 3. Return policy
A Japan Rail Pass that has not been activated and used can be returned within 12 months of being issued by us at Getjrpass. When returning the Japan Rail Pass, the customer is charged 15% of the regular value of the JR Pass at the time of purchase as well as the transaction fees both ways related to purchase and return. The remaining 85% of the JR Pass value is paid back to the card used at purchase, minus the shipping fee and transaction fees. The JR Pass must be physically returned to Flygi AB, please contact us before return.

Japan Rail Passes that have not been issued in JR’s system and sent out to the customer incur no return fees apart from transaction fees and a 35 EUR handling fee.

§ 4. Period of validity
Your Japan Rail Pass must be activated and used within 90 days of being issued by Getjrpass. The date and validity period are noted on your JR Pass voucher (MCO) and all orders include physical documentation with extra & explanatory information on how a Japan Rail Pass is exchanged.

§ 5. Complaints
A Japan Rail Pass issued and registered in JR’s system can only be claimed and returned according to the Return Policy, please see § 3. Return Policy.

§ 6. Buyer misstakes
Getjrpass are not in charge of the buyers misstakes caused by misunderstandings or typos. The customer is obligated to check and confirm all the information before sending in their order, as well as answering the form confirming if it’s more or less than 14 days to departure, that they understand the policy regarding JR Pass purchase, that they understand that all Japan Rail Passes are sent out physically and several more questions. The form is obligated and answered by all customers when placing their order – but only work as a guideance for our staff and does not guarantee that it’s being checked if missed during a stressful day. Flygi AB and Getjrpass give themselves the right to ship out any placed orders, regardless of answers. Any misstakes found after shipping is on the cost of the buyer and their resposibility to check before placing the order. Flygi and Getjrpass also gives themselves the right to cancel any order placed too close to departure – no questisons asked. Please, make sure to double check your order before purchase.

These terms of use apply to www.getjrpass.com. Please read all the terms and conditions carefully before proceeding. By accepting these terms, you agree to enter into a legally binding agreement with GetJRPass.com, Flygi AB with Swedish organisation number 559091-4429.

If you do not accept our terms, consent will not be given, the website and its services will not be able to be used in such a situation.

If the agreement entered into is to be terminated, this can be done as follows:

§ 2. PURPOSE
The purpose of the website is e-commerce as follows:

Sales of Japan Rail Pass and related services. We will also provide an arrangement of air travel, hotel stays and rental of car rental as a Meta-search site. Note, however, that Flygi AB only conveys the information and does not itself sell travel, hotel stays or handle the rental of vehicles. Japan Rail Passes are being sold on behalf of JTB GMT and JR Corp by Flygi AB under the website Getjrpass.com.

§ 3. OWNERSHIP OF THE WEBSITE

The website is owned and managed by GetJRPassFlygi AB and owner in its capacity as a legal entity domiciled in Gothenburg, Sweden. Box 12075, 402 41 Gothenburg, Sweden.

§ 4. TERMS OF USE
a) It is unacceptable to behave in an offensive, threatening, discriminatory,
pornographic or otherwise obscene manner on the website.
b) Additional obligations of users:

Good tone must be used when using the site’s forum.

§ 5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The copyrighted material available on the website may not be used without the permission of the author. Thus, users are not permitted to copy, distribute, commercially exploit, reproduce or otherwise benefit from such material.

§ 6. PAYMENT
a) Users’ purchases on the website are handled and must be paid as below.

b) All Japan Rail Passes has to be shipped out physically to the adress used upon purchase. Please allow atleast 14-30 days of tshipping time for your order. If ordering with 14 days or less to departure date, and to an area where we don’t belive to be able to ship to in time, the Japan Rail Pass order will be refunded, minus the cost of transaction fee’s of 1.5% per transaction as well as a 35 EUR handling fee. Note that transaction fees may differ if paid with a credit card. 

§ 7. PERSONAL DATA POLICY
a) Getjrpass, Flygi AB undertakes to comply with the Data Protection Ordinance (GDPR)
whose purpose is i.a. is to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual.

b) Personal data that will / may be processed
By accepting these terms of use, the user agrees to the processing of personal data as follows:
Social security number, telephone number, e-mail address, age, residence, gender and full name. Sensitive personal data is not allowed to be collected and processed.

c) How the personal data will be processed 
The personal data will be processed for the following purposes: The
personal data will be used for booking any tickets with us and / or any third parties.

d) Third man.

Users’ personal data may be disclosed to third parties, both within and outside the EU / EEA, as follows:
the personal data will be shared with our delivery partner Skyscanner. This personal data is used when purchasing any services that Skyscanner offers.

e) Period during which the personal data will be stored
Personal data may only be stored for as long as is necessary for the purpose.

f) Encryption, the website has an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate which ensures that the users’ personal data is transferred in a secure and confidential manner by encrypting the information.

g) Users’ rights

Right to register extract

After giving consent, users have the right to receive a register extract confirming whether the personal data is being processed. If the personal data is processed, users have the right to access it.

Register extracts are requested from our data protection representative Jonathan Holm via either telephone, +468-399132, or e-mail, [email protected].

The register extract is handed out in writing, either digitally or by post.

Right to information and right to rectification

After giving consent, users have the right to turn to Getjrpass, Flygi AB to find out which personal data is stored and to have incorrect information changed. If no information is missing, users also have the right to complete it.

Right to restrict processing
In certain cases, a person whose personal data is involved may demand that the processing of these be restricted. This is the case, e.g. when the person in question has already requested correction due to incorrect information. During this time, the processing
of the incorrect data can then also be limited.

Data portability
In some cases, a person who has disclosed their personal data has a right to have it moved to another, such as a media service. The person who first received the personal data must then facilitate such a transfer.

Right to object
In some cases, a person has the right to object to how his or her personal data is processed. This applies when personal data is processed to perform a task of general interest, as part of the exercise of authority or after a balance of interests.

Right to delete
Users have a right to have their personal data deleted if desired. There are exceptions when this right is restricted but in the following cases the data must be deleted:
– If the data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected,
– If the consent is revoked,
– If the personal data is used for direct marketing and the user
objects,
– If they there are no legitimate reasons that outweigh the individual’s
interest in deleting the information,
– If the personal data has been processed illegally,
– If deletion is required to fulfill a legal obligation,

If the data is deleted upon request, the external parties who have received the personal data must also be notified. However, this does not apply if it proves impossible or involves a too burdensome effort.

www.getjrpass.com uses cookies. This means that information may be stored in users’ browsers when they visit the website. The purpose of this is for the website to recognize a user’s computer, keep statistics and in turn improve the user experience.

A cookie is a small text file that makes it possible to identify a user’s means of communication without storing personal data. There are two different types of cookies, time-limited and session cookies. Time-limited cookies are stored for a longer period of time and can e.g. be used to show the user content previously missed. Session cookies are deleted when the web page / browser is closed. This type of cookie can store information such as the selected language and means that users do not have to choose this again every time they click on the website.

Flygi AB, which owns the website, www.getjrpass.com, disclaims any of the following legal responsibilities:

Getjrpass.com does NOT sell any travel, hotel stays or rental car bookings and can therefore NOT answer any questions regarding your travel booking with the services on our website. Please contact the travel agency you completed your purchase with or the airline yourself if you have questions or changes regarding your booking.

Japan Rail Pass is sold under the rights by JTB GMT and JR Group.

§ 11. JURISDICTION
The website, www.getjrpass.com, is operated from Sweden and the terms of use are governed by Swedish law.
