Pass validity is counted in days from midnight to midnight, not 24-hour periods. The first day of use counts as a full day regardless of start time.

Your exchange order is valid for 90 days from the issue date. Choose your preferred start date when you exchange it for the actual pass at any JR station.
Free seat reservations
Reserve seats at no extra cost at any JR station or using the reserved seat ticket machines. Especially useful for popular limited express trains during peak seasons.
