Hello! We have JR rail passes but all the information says we need to purchase a seperate ticket for the Otsuki – Kawaguchiko section of the trip on the Fuji Excursion. Will we need to purchase this before getting on the train at Shinjuku? If you could let me know how to do this that would be great. Thank you.
Hi, you may use the Fuji Kyuko Line or Fuji Kaiyu rapid for your route, it’s about 8-9 USD per person and I don’t belive you should have to order beforehand.
However, we do not have support for non-JR Lines, for that reason I can not guarantee anything and would recommend having a look at their website instead for more information.
Wish I could be more of help, but I’m affraid non-JR Lines are out of my expertise.
