Hi Jorge, seat reservation can be done after your pass has been activated in Japan by scanning the QR code on your JR Pass at any Shinkansen ticket machine or by talking to any JR desk staff and they’ll help you free of charge. Both options are free and included for Japan Rail Pass holders.
