we have our vouchers and I wanted to plan our trips before arrival. Does this app allow that or can you recommend something. Over 7 days we will leave Tokyo for Hiroshima and the Miyajima, moving on to Kyoto with day trips to Nara and Osaka. It would be preferable if we didn’t have to change trains along the way. Also what side of train should we sit on for view of Mt Fuji

Hi Karen, you can reserve seats once the pass has been exchanged in Japan.
As for the Shinkansen rides to see Mt. Fuji: When going from Tokyo to Kyoto, you want to sit on the right side of the train and Kyoto to Tokyo on the left side.
There is a great tool called Navitime to plan your trip. Set your destination from A to B and press “Japan Rail Pass” under Tourist Passes and it will show you how to get there with timetables and everything you may need. Read more about it here: https://getjrpass.com/tools/
