Hello Michel, we usually recommend our customers to order their Japan Rail Pass 4-8 weeks before their departure to Japan. You have 90 days to exhange you JR Pass once you arrive in Japan, so it will be within the proper time range but will also have some extra time incase your package is lost or unexpected delays caused by UPS.
However, keep in mind that most of our packages are delivered within a few work days at latest, as we send out your japan rail pass with UPS Express. But it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
