The Sanyo-San’in Area Pass is only available to non-Japanese passport holders under the entry status of “Temporary Visitor”.

You can NOT purchase a Sanyo-San'in Area Pass if you meet the following:

    Japanese Citizen
  • excluded
    Work visa
  • excluded
    Student visa
  • excluded
    Any other visa than Temporary Visitor.

    Seat reservation.
  • included
    Sanyo Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Fukuoka Hakata station.

    Limited express and local JR trains.
  • included
    JR Express bus between Yamaguchi and Hagi.

    JR Miyajima Ferry.

    Free bike rental at location stations where Ekirin-Kun is available.

This is excluded:

    Non-JR trains, busses or boats.
  • excluded
    Tokaido Shinkansen between Kyoto and Shin-Osaka. (Local trains can be used instead)
  • excluded
    Kyushu Shinkansen between Hakata and Kagoshima-Chuo.

Refund in Japan:

Your Sanyo San’in Area Pass can be refunded and returned within 90 days of purchase at any Station that exchange the voucher. JR will charge you a 10% processing fee on each Rail Pass.

The JR Sanyo-San’in Area Pass is an exclusive ticket offered by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) that enables the holder to travel unlimitedly on most JR West trains and selected buses throughout the designated Sanyo and San’in regions of Japan. This pass is valid for 7 consecutive days and is designed to provide travelers with an affordable and hassle-free way to explore the captivating Sanyo coastline and culturally rich San’in area.

With the JR Sanyo-San’in Area Pass, visitors can easily explore vibrant cities such as Hiroshima and Kobe, as well as the picturesque landscapes, historical landmarks, and unique attractions of the regions without worrying about extra expenses or buying individual tickets.
